Mike Ivanovski Presents IR Coatings at Photonics Talks

🎤This morning at the Photonics Talks Stage, our COO Mike Ivanovski presented the latest results from our work on IR coatings.

Germanium shortages are pushing the industry toward new materials. Chalcogenide glasses are one promising path — but they're notoriously difficult to coat. Mike shared what we've learned: the key process parameters, what works on IG6 and ZnS substrates, and where our BBAR and DLC solutions stand today.

We're not stopping here. In 2026, we're continuing to push further — extending PARMS technology into the mid-IR range and optimizing DLC for more substrate types.
